Amifostine is a Nephro-Protectant in Patients Receiving Treatment with Cisplatin- Myth, Mystery or Matter-of-Fact?

چکیده
Despite reports of amifostine possibly protecting nephrotoxicity from cisplatin, it has not been recommended by any guidelines committees or routinely prescribed in clinical practice over the past decade. In this article, we review literature and regarding use oncology for protection against adverse effects certain chemotherapeutic agents, particular as a nephro-protectant patients receiving cisplatin.
